Some Steps and Things to Remember

Some Steps/Things to remember
1) Well find someone first.
2) Give them a decent introduction and get to know them
3) Then tell them about your class
4) Explain your assignment.
5) Ask if they would like to participate in it.
6) If yes, make sure they are ok with the tape recorder.
7) Make sure to thank them at some point.
8) Then make an appointment at sometime.
9) Then hand them your questions and make sure they are comfortable with them.
10) Try to move to a place more comfortable for an interview. (a cafe or like place)
11) Once there start your tape/interview
12) At first it may be a bit slow or awkward so ease into it.
13) Ask a few questions letting them answer what they want to.
14) Don't push too hard for the answers but make sure you get most of them.
15) Try to go in order so it's less confusing for you both.
16) Make sure that both of you are being clear enough for the tape.
17) If they go into detail about certain subjects let them.
18) Relax and be friendly
19) Once you're finished thank them again.
20) Try to get to know their friends for later interviews

Global Communication

What is global communication?? Global Communication is the process of transmitting and receiving information on a world wide scale. This affects our everyday lives and how we see other cultures, and people. This also changes how business is run, and how people work. Globalization has been drastically increasing ever since the invention of the internet, and through our new advancements in technology.


The internet has been one of the most dramatic changes of all communication. With the invention of the internet, people have been able to send and store information with extreme ease. Along with that, people have much more availability, and they are able to see it quickly and entirely within a few seconds. With this in mind, communication of our world’s population has been increased dramatically. We are now able to share our advancements in technology without having to wait months or even years to hear about it. It also connects the users’ through blogs and other like websites. Where we can talk through the internet to one another about anything. The internet has brought forth a whole new generation of ideas and technology.

Speaking of that, with the globalization of the population, we have been able to stampede into new and advanced technologies. We are now more able to share our ideas with others and vice versa, causing a jump in our technology. Globalization has caused our advancements to haste into a new century of ideas. A few of those revolutionary ideas could entail things such as stem cell research, or more environment friendly vehicles and technology. Soon enough one thing will lead to another. Then suddenly, BAM!! We have a more efficient, and safe way to create energy through nuclear fusion or something. With the new advancement in technology we may never know.

Thus, with all of this in mind. Globalization is affecting society as a whole. With the internet paving the way for our new technology to take place, and our society changing and adapting to our new communication web. We will go head first into our future.

Hacker Quiz

On the hacker site, I learned how to properly combine sentences. I learned how to get rid of comma splices, properly place words like to or of, and what endings to use on the end of my words. (example) "Success didn't spoil me; I've always been insufferable." This is one example that helped me, I thought you used a comma here instead of this, and when I gave the wrong answer, and it corrected me, and gave me a good explanation of why I got that wrong. This site also helped me figure out where to put my punctuation in a sentence to make it correct. Such as, "Because it rained all Labor day, our picnic was rather soggy." Finally, it helped me figure out which words go where. Such as, "Christopher had an attention span shorter than that of the other students." This sentence had confused me because I thought you would have to get rid of "that of", but I was incorrect and this helped me out as well. This site is extremely helpful in toning your writing skills.

Accidents Happen

       When I got into my vehicle, I would have never thought this would be the outcome. My child and wife now passed away after a ferocious, head-on, vehicular collision. My Avtovaz completely annihilated by an on-coming freighter truck. Yet, however amazing the circumstances, I managed to survive, alone. I now live 10 years later, without my right leg, my family, or glee. I, Grigori Vasilev live in the miniature city of Ghalendzhik within Russia’s borders. In a nice little apartment structure, next door to an ancient, crazy, blind man who loves to beat tunes on his drum in the evening. In my apartment I kept a “sacred” room in which I kept most of my family’s memories. For example, 3 old chestnuts that I had bought my child just before the crash, and his blanket he had carried everywhere. Then, my wife’s old coin collection of vast communities around the world sat on a table across the room. We often loved to explore and go to fresh places. Much of it had to do with my career however; I am an artist you see. I traveled the world to show my wares and tried to sell them. I loved to carve and create many wonderful creations. I kept my old ruler and a fancy little clay pot I often used to outline and create pictures. Now, I still do a few pieces here and there. Such as an extremely elaborate carving of a head, resembling my child, or my little canoe I cut out of a stub of wood I had. Usually, I don’t sell much, the only piece I have really sold was a Mesia Statue, which didn’t quite give much profit. Leaving my glass jar, and my old worn wallet are usually quite barren. My only income coming from the post cards I often created with my signature stamp on the top left corner. Other than that I really don't have the will to do much anymore, down and sully with depression I have become. I have been told many times to go back and live my life. Do what I loved to do so much in the past. I often sit and ponder that equation in my head while looking into the deep night sky, while watching the brilliant crescent moon smile back at me. There are many times I sit and wonder if it was my fault for turning around for just that one second to answer my child’s question. “Why did I have to turn away for that one second?” I would always say, but now, I am starting to realize. The people are right; I still need to live my life, but in my own way..
